Forklift Driver - Swindon, Wiltshire

ContactCORP are looking to hire a qualified counterbalance driver for our client, a national logistics distributor. The role is temp-to-perm, based on a busy industrial estate in West Swindon and is perfect for those who are looking for consistent alternate shifts (see details below).

Forklift Operator job responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a two-fork and a four-fork counterbalance forklift
  • Transport heavy wooden pallets around work site
  • Deliver pallets to conveyor belts
  • Retrieve serviced pallets and storing correctly for outbound
  • Ensure safe stacking and storage of various pallets

What we're looking for

  • Counterbalance forklift licence required
  • Minimum one year of forklift operation experience
  • Weekend availability, a forklift operator works alternating Saturdays
  • Own transport required due to a lack of public transport after late shift

Further details of the Forklift Operator role

  • Monday to Thursday 6am - 3pm / 3pm - 12am
  • Friday (and alternating Saturdays) 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
  • £11.85 - £12.36, dependant on machine used
  • Productivity bonus offered to all after a short qualifying period
  • PPE provided, bring your own safety shoes to begin with
  • Any and all forklift licences will be checked and recorded
  • References may be required on request
